What is Pat Testing?

Pat Testing (Portable Appliance Testing) is the regular visual inspection and testing of all electrical equipment that is connected to sockets via a plug. The Law demands that employers or ‘duty holders’ ensure portable appliances are safe. Many people are not aware that most insurance companies require Pat Testing to be done and in the event of a fire may not payout unless pat testing is done. AC Testing will also ensure that you electrical equipment is compliant with health and safety regulations as you don’t want to run the risk of injury to your employees or the general public.
